National CF standards of care and clinical guidelines
All Canadians, regardless of their circumstance or location, should receive consistent and quality CF care. Cystic Fibrosis Canada works with Canadian CF healthcare providers to gather the newest evidence to inform clinical practice.
Standards of care enable healthcare providers and systems to continuously improve the quality of patient care and be responsive to current and future healthcare needs.
CF Canada is working with leading experts across the country and beyond, to develop national standards of care that will provide a comprehensive source of knowledge on the main components of cystic fibrosis care in Canada and can be referenced as needed by any Canadian CF healthcare provider.
Clinical guidelines outline specific components of CF clinical care in detail and are regularly updated as evidence and treatments evolve. Canadians with cystic fibrosis and their loved ones can mention these resources to their healthcare provider (CF or non-CF) as a reference point.
